A huge congratulations to Red Lions Scholarship Holder Zac Southern who has just beened named the Allied Pickfords Cup Player of the Week! The lanky lad’s hard work over the preseason has been evident in his performances through the first few rounds and this is a thoroughly deserved accolade for Zac. When the UQAFC was promoted to Division 1 few would have expected the new kids on the block to claim their first scalp as early as round 2. April 27th will go down in history as the club’s first Allied Pickfords Cup Senior win as they held out Noosa to take the chocolates by 1 point in a hard-fought match. Despite having little to no Australia Football experience the girls have been selected to play for the SEQ North team.
