With the Practice Matches this weekend cancelled we have organised instead to have an afternoon at the Norman Hotel for all the players to get together and get to know each other before the season kicks off. This will also be an excellent opportunity for everyone to bring along friends, family and partners and get them involved in the social side of the club as well.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Rene Chaustowski to the position of U18s Coach for the 2010 Season.
As most people are aware, recently we did a photo shoot for the 2010 Red Lions calendar. The calendar is almost complete and ready for printing. The photos have been professionally taken and a printer is currently working on producing an excellent product similar to that in stores.
We are looking for calendar sponsors. We want one sponsor per month / page where the sponsor can display their logo and contact details.

Due to the excessive rain in the past two days, all ovals at the University of Queensland are closed for training tonight. Training tonight will instead be a COMPULSORY Time Trial.
By the look of things on the track so far, 2010 is shaping up to be a good year on the field. Likewise, we are also hoping for a similar year off the field.

Finally, the draw for the season has now been finalised and can be viewed on the AFLQ Website. I have also put the draws of both Divisions together with the Practice Match schedule for handy viewing. This will later be entered into a more detailed calendar which will also include social events and other dates of interest.
