Sunday June 3 at 2.30pm sees the UQ Bulldogs take on Wynnum at Oval 7 to finish the first round of fixtures for the 2012 season. The UQ Bulldogs are highly fancied heading into the game after their stirring win at home against Jimboomba recently and a strong showing against league leaders Darling Downs away in Toowoomba last week.
Having recovered from the “Quinny Quizzes” on the bus ride up and back, the squad has been bolstered with 3 new arrivals to the U18 playing ranks and the addition of experienced UQAFC coach and player Jarad “J-Rod” Evans to assist coach Johnston. With the Div 2 teams enjoying a bye and Div 3 at home, a large following is expected for the Bulldog’s vs Wynnum fixture at home on Sunday afternoon.
Coach Quentin Johnston is pleased to have the tough start to the season out of the way, a win under the belt and the great opportunity this weekend to notch another victory. The club looks forward to welcoming all our supporters to Oval 7 to support the lads on Sunday at 2.30pm.
