Well, what a start to season 2011!
I will start with by commenting on the fact that most if not all of the Red Lion ‘Magoo’s’ sides that I have known over the past five years have been in good form at the start of the season. The Red Lions Division 1 Senior and Reserves sides pulled off one of the most difficult feats in the league: winning both games away in Caloundra.
This is renowned as being one of the most challenging road trips of the year, and to have the Seniors grab a narrow three point win against last year’s Premiers on their home turf is an outstanding start to 2011.
This Saturday the senior squad will be playing for flood relief at Kedron at 2 and 4pm.
The following is the provisional squad for Saturday’s practice match Vs. Kenmore at Wynuum. Players are to arrive at the ground by 11am sharp.
