AFL Dream Team 2011
For those of you who haven’t heard, UQ Red Lions are entering a few Leagues in the on-line AFL fantasty footy competition (www.afl.com.au) for a bit of healthy competition, fun and sledging, as well as some fundraising of much needed cash to go directly to the Club.
Firstly, for those of you who haven’t previously had the pleasure of AFL DreamTeam, go to: dreamteam.afl.com.au to register, and start entering your best 22. And don’t stress if you’re worried about not having enough time to familiarise with the gameplay, you have until 7:10pm 24 March 2011 to lock in your side!
Be sure to check out the Game Rules too, if you haven’t played before.
Once you’ve registered and logged in, add your team to the UQLIONS11 Private League (League Invite Code: 349601).
I’ll send out an e-mail at the end of the week to all registered players, with my tips and attach my team to date (copy it/ hate it, not fussed). Be sure to check up on the rules regarding how the League structure works too, if you get a chance. It’s good fun, and even if you finish 8th in the League by season’s end, you can still have a crack at winning the Top Prize during League finals.
Speaking of prizes! Below outlines what your $20 entry gets you and the Club (beyond the endless banter and one-ups).
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $50
3rd Place: $20
The remaining $150 leftover from each (full) League goes to the UQ Red Lions as a donation. Once each full League is collected, I’ll hand the $150 donation over to Scott (Club President).
YOU MUST also e-mail me (rldreamteam@redlions.org.au) to officially register in the UQ Red Lions competition (or if you have any questions), as well cough up the $20 entry during the week leading up to our first match of the season (preferably at Monday’s training, 14/03/2011).
