The UQAFC would like to farewell Tom ‘Chommy’ Crameri as he departs to the motherland to in pursuit of his dream job.
Tommy moved from Melbourne to Brisbane in late 2013, joining the Red Lions as they stepped up into the newly formed QAFL competition.
He immediately brought leadership to the QAFL group, a strong positive presence around the club, and a barrel like rig helping him burst out of packs to kick goals.
Although we are sad to see him leave, Tom is moving to Manchester to take up a position as a sports scientist with a company that works with sporting teams like McLaren Formula One and Manchester United.
The UQAFC has a proud history of developing well-rounded individuals who are not only good footballers and great people, but also career-driven professionals contributing meaningfully to the broader community.
The club is excited to see “Slops” take on such a big opportunity, wishes him all the best in this next chapter of his life, and looks forward to seeing him back at St Lucia in a couple of years time!
