Former Red Lion Training With St Kilda FC

Big news in Melbourne with former Red Lion Blaine Coates recently receiving permission to train with St Kilda as they lead in to their 2016 season.

After playing a starring role as a youngster in our 2011 Reserves premiership, Blaine and his brother Chase (another former Red Lion) moved to Melbourne to play VFL with the Sandringham Zebras.

He made his senior debut for Sandringham earlier this year, and took out the club’s Development Side Coaches Award.

Blaine kicked off his training with the St Kilda 1-4 year players today with a tough session around Albert Park, including a 3km timetrial.

The UQAFC would like to say congratulations and best of luck to Blaine as he puts in the hard yards to potentially push for a spot on an AFL list!
