Life Member – Andrew Crooke

Andrew Crooke was the father of club stalwarts Gary and Ken Crooke. For many years he was Senior Vice President of the Club and was a regular attendee at all matches and the keenest of supporters.
As production manager of Castlemaine Perkins he was able to make a substantial amber fluid contribution to the club and was instrumental in arranging for the Club to have a meeting room at the Transcontinental Hotel.
Andrew and wife, Lyn, took a great interest in interstate students away from their families and provided substantial hospitality and support to them.
Many memorable (some would hope, forgettable) club functions were held at their home at Virginia Avenue, Hawthorne.
Andrew passed away in September 1989 and Lyn passed away in December 2009.
