Pre-Christmas Training Starting Next Week!

Thank-you to the 35+ players who could make it to the players BBQ 3 weeks ago. It was a great success with all UQ players committed to raising the bar for season 2010. Taking ownership within the playing group is the first important step in this.
In order win the premiership next year we will begin preparing next Tuesday night.

University Of Queensland AFC Require Coaches For 2010

The University of Queensland Australian Football Club is currently seeking the services of a Senior Coach for 2010. Over the last four years, the Club has grown from two to four senior grade teams, this year fielding Senior and Reserve teams in each of the State Association Division 1 and Division 2 competitions. The club also fields a continually thriving under 18s side in the SportsReady Under 18 Division 2 competition.
After a lean year in 2009, the successful applicant will be tasked with returning the Senior Division 1 team to the success of previous years, overseeing the development of the playing list and providing guidance to the club’s coaching and playing groups .
This is a unique opportunity to oversee the on and off field development of one of Queensland’s largest and longest established football clubs.
Interested parties are to send their applications to applications@redlions.org.au before COB Friday 30th October 2009.

A great night was had by all at the 2009 presentation night at Indooroopilly Golf Club. Well done to Longy and Scotty for putting together a great night for all involved.
Special mention to Ross Barnard and Louise Gassner for being named clubman and clubwomen of the year.
