Congratulations to UQ QAFL players Connor Ballenden, Luca Mason, Jack Clayton and Nate Dennis who have all made the Queensland Under 18 Squad of 30.
All of the boys have been working hard during the pre season with the Brisbane Lions Academy and playing trial games against the Gold Coast Suns Academy to earn a spots in the State Squad.
As a footballer it is a huge achievement for all of the boys getting this far, with opportunities to represent the Allies in the Under 18 National Carnival now up for grabs.
The whole club congratulates each of the boys on their selections. We look forward to following them as the process goes further, and are even more excited to see them pull on the UQ jumper after their State commitments finish for the year.
We wish them all the best.
You can read more about the selections on the AFLQ website.
