The UQAFC QAFL Seniors have won their way through to the Pool B final of the AFL Queensland Alpha Sport Pre-Season Cup with an emphatic victory over the Robina Roos.
The Red Lions controlled the game all afternoon at Limestone Park, Ipswich, running away with a 17.15.117 def 3.0.18 win.
Senior Coach Darren Pfeiffer was pleased with how the young side, missing a number of key players due to a wedding, was able to dictate the pace of the game: “We were able to control the footy, set up how we wanted to, and we took a step forward from last week, which is always good.”
The boys will now take on either Mayne or Maroochydore next weekend for some pre-seson silverware and a boost of confidence heading into Round 1 of the season proper.
